THE FACES BEHIND THE SOUND
Niki Dillon
Niki joined The Nailers as lead vocalist in 2012, bringing powerhouse vocals and undeniable stage presence to the band’s signature sound. From a young age, it was clear that music was more than a passion—it was in her soul. That passion shines through every performance, captivating audiences with both energy and emotion.
Heavily influenced by rock legends like Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson, and Stevie Nicks, Niki credits these trailblazing women for igniting her lifelong love affair with music. Channeling their strength and spirit, she brings her own fierce, soulful edge to every song.
For Niki, performing this genre isn't just a gig—it’s a dream realized. Taking the stage gives her the chance to unleash her inner rock child and share her love of classic rock with every crowd she meets.
MICHAEL Dillon
As one of the founding members of The Nailers, Michael has been bringing the heat on lead and rhythm guitar for over 25 years. His love for music sparked early—he picked up his first acoustic guitar as a teen and quickly discovered a lifelong passion for the six-string.
Inspired by legendary bands like KISS and Aerosmith, Michael dreamed of one day stepping onto a stage himself. That dream became reality at 18 when he performed Cat Scratch Fever for his first live audience—and he’s been rocking crowds ever since with his raw, self-taught talent and unmistakable style.
A true guitar enthusiast, Michael’s collection is as impressive as his chops (go ahead, ask him how many—if you’ve got time). His dedication to the instrument, to the music, and to the fans has helped shape the signature sound of The Nailers from day one.
JEFF HALEY
Jeff’s musical journey began at just 11 years old with classical violin training—a solid foundation that gave way to his true passion: the guitar. By 13, he had made the switch to six strings, and by 18, he was already lighting up stages with his first band. He’s been gigging ever since, building a reputation as a skilled and passionate lead guitarist.
A true rocker at heart, Jeff draws heavy inspiration from guitar legends like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Peter Frampton. His electrifying style and stage presence reflect those influences while bringing his own unique edge to every performance.
Over the years, Jeff has been a key member of numerous bands, including Rare Seed, Live Cargo, Cruise Control, Trial By Fire, Mission Imposter, Daze of Nite, and The Unusual Suspects. With decades of experience and a love for live music that never fades, Jeff brings both fire and finesse to The Nailers’ sound.
BRUCE RANDALL
With over five decades behind the kit, Bruce is a seasoned drummer whose experience spans coast to coast and stage to studio. Originally from Vancouver, Washington, he relocated to Houston in 1991 and has been a driving force in the local music scene ever since.
Bruce picked up his first pair of drumsticks at age 10 and was gigging by 12—launching a lifelong journey through the evolving sounds of rock, country, blues, and funk. Over the years, he’s toured with both original acts and high-energy cover bands, performing everywhere from the West Coast to the Midwest.
A true musical chameleon, Bruce has played everything from southern rock and classic rock to pop, alt, new country, and blues. Most recently, he spent five years with country band Story Book Road, and wrapped up a Southern Rock tribute project, Redd Sky, in mid-2022. In the past decade, he’s also contributed his talent to Houston-area bands including Magnus Heart, Trick Dog, The Ernie Trevino Band, Daze of Nite, and Triple Shot.
Bruce’s influences read like a hall of fame lineup—Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Allman Brothers Band, AC/DC, Toto, The Beatles, Styx, and George Strait, just to name a few.
DARRELL JOZWIAK
Holding down the low end with rock-solid groove, Darrell Jozwiak is the rhythmic heartbeat of The Nailers. Influenced by the iconic sounds of the '70s and '80s, his style is shaped by legends like Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, The Eagles, Van Halen, and Journey. His roots also run deep in country music, and his appreciation for all genres gives his playing both depth and versatility.
With decades of experience and a genuine love for the craft, Darrell reflects, “I’ve been incredibly blessed to share the stage with some of the finest musicians out there—and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of the hottest band in Houston: The Nailers!”
STEVE VONDERHEIDE
Steve has tickled the ivories in bands from California to New York to Maine, but he’s proudly called Texas his musical home since 1998. A veteran of the local scene, Steve even spent five years with The Nailers during the band’s early days at the turn of the millennium—and now he’s back to bring the magic (and a little mayhem) once again. Known for his exceptional keyboard skills and equally unpredictable sense of humor. We don’t ask questions. We just let him play.
